WHAT IS LVT?

Luxury Vinyl Tile is a type of hard flooring typically made up of five distinct layers:

1. Polyurethane coating

2. Wear layer

3. Print film layer

4. Vinyl core

5. Vinyl backing

LVT was originally known as “hot-pressed tile”, which gives a good

indication of how it’s made. The layers are fused together under heat and

pressure, to create a strong, durable flooring product with an aesthetic

capable of rivalling natural hard flooring like wood or stone.
